That's What I Call Love (acoustic & solo)

Persol glasses, jdays and Roy Orbison
8

I don’t even remember filming this. It was in October. I know because I’m wearing my Persol glasses that I bought in Paris in 2002 as sunglasses, refitted to my new reading glasses in 2015 and lost at- presumably- a garbage disposal site in Altona, Hamburg a few days after this was filmed. Arghhhhh,… I loved those glasses!
And so, it fills my heart with sadness to see how truly cool they were. Oh well, just a pair of glasses you say? Well, they’d been with me for over 20 years,.. so there.
Anyway, … I think I was rehearsing for upcoming Jeremy Days acoustic shows. So, I’m singing an old song. From our debut album that came out in 1988. Produced in London with Clive Langer and Alan Winstanley (Madness, Elvis Costello, Morrissey etc.) This one always kindof sounded like a forgotten Roy Orbison tune to me. At least that’s what I wanted it to sound like in my imagination, I suppose…. ;-)

We have some full-band shows coming up this October. I hope to have the final dates towards the end of the week. We’ll be playing this song during the shows, so you can warm up with this rendition, I suppose.

Enjoy. See you soon
