Hi everyone,

This afternoon a truck rolled up in front of my house carrying a big euro-pallet. Vinyl!!!
Yes – it’s a big day over here.

Not one, but two releases today.

First and foremost: my new album THE SOUND MY MIND MAKES – out now on Vinyl, CD and Digital. The CDs arrived a few weeks ago, but the vinyl (as usual…) took quite a bit longer. Now that everything is finally here, I’ve fired up my Bandcamp page and put it all online.

And since I’ve been working on another instalment of my COVERS series, I thought: why not release both simultaneously? One big crazy day of music. Maybe it’ll give some of you the chance to save on shipping if you’d like to splurge and treat yourselves to both albums.

So here we go then…

I’m super excited to finally release music I’ve been working on for the better part of three years. I realise it’s probably not going to make a big splash in this crazy world – so many records, films, books, games and news, news, news fighting for our attention. But if I can make just a tiny dent, all has been for the best.

I hope some of you will enjoy listening and living with these new songs as much as I enjoyed making them. We all need something to hold on to in these weird, difficult, sometimes scary times – and sometimes a song can help. You know I’m a big believer in the power of a good song. I know what music has done in my life, over and over again.

So, wishing you all a peaceful time full of love, family and friends. Maybe one or two of these songs will carry you along for a bit, lift some heavy load, or help in whatever way you need right now.

Sorry, getting a bit emotional here – but hey, it’s a big day. My baby is out in the world now, taking tiny little steps on its own. Nothing I can do but watch what happens next.
